Sheringham View is a fine example of a North Norfolk Coastal Cottage and was originally built for a local ‘well to do’ Fish Merchant, just after the end of the first World War, in 1920.
The Cottage, until 1960, was thatched and even though it has been modernised, extended and improved, it still today retains its original charm and style, reminiscent of buildings found only in parts of Northern France, Belgium and Holland.
Our home, adjacent to Beeston Common, is a gentle 10 – 15 minute stroll from the sea front and Sheringham Town and is conveniently situated in an ‘easy to find’ position on the A149 Sheringham to Cromer Road, immediately opposite the Palm Tree entrance of the Priory Maze and Gardens.
Sheringham View Cottage is family owned and run, providing a warm , comfortable and friendly welcome.
We have been awarded a rating of 4 stars plus Silver Award.
Set in ½ acre of south-facing landscaped Gardens bordering Beeston Common, famed for its walks, birdwatching, nature trails and wild orchids - what a perfect setting for peace, quiet and complete relaxation.
Sheringham sits on the North Norfolk Coast, surrounded by forests of pine trees and acres of quintessential rolling English Countryside.
The North Norfolk Railway runs historic Steam engines between Sheringham and Holt, whilst Cromer, famous for Crabs, it’s Pier and Summer Shows, lies only 3 miles away.
The City of Norwich, the Royal retreat of Sandringham, the Lavender fields at Heacham and the Norfolk Broads are within easy reach and all are a must to see!
It would be hard to find a better environment or location for your visit, all this together with plenty of private parking, secured behind a five bar gate at Sheringham View Cottage.
Sheringham View Cottage offers a choice of three very high quality rooms, each one quite different from the other.
The Tapestry Room
This room has been fully refurbished with period furniture and a 19th Century Belgian tapestry which hangs over the comfortable double bed. The room has its own Private facilities which include a ‘walk in’ shower.
The Garden Room
This too has been fully refurbished and now features French doors which lead directly into the garden. This large room has twin beds and is en-suite, featuring a full size bath with shower over.
The cabin is situated in the Garden, separate from the house and yet is only 4 – 5 paces from our conservatory doors.
The log cabin features an iron double bed and separate kitchen with a microwave and refridgerator. In the bathroom the luxury continues with a whirlpool spa bath with shower over. The cabin is quite a large building of Swedish design and has its own heating and water system, outside there is decking, providing a comfortable seating area.
All rooms are centrally heated and have hospitality trays, remote controlled colour T.V. and importantly, are all situated on the ground floor
